Personal computers are designed for long term operation in the indoor environment of a navigational bridge without any special maintenance and servicing. It is recommended that at regular intervals keyboards, “mouse” or trackerball type manipulators, monitor screen should be cleared of dust and dirt in accordance with their respective Operational Manuals.
Reliability of the outside cables and connections should be checked from time to time.
